Hennesey ZR-1 Standing Mile - 186mph
Pretty self explainatory. Hennesey's Project ZR-1 which is just basically simple bolt ons....(headers, exhaust, intake). Standing Mile in under 30 seconds, reaching a top speed of around 186mph....
The sound is incredible, and watching it just continue to pull....and pull.....and pull....it just puts a smile on my face.

Not only long gears! Its "holy RPM's Batman" too! I shift at 5700... Stock is 5500... He was short shifting at 6500 and pulling out to almost 7000 at some points! Absolutely incredible RPMs for a V8...

the 360 and 430 all rev to like 8500+. the 458 is going to rev to 9500 i believe.
bmw's V8 and V10 rev to like 8400, audi's V8 in the R8 and RS4 revs past 8000, most modern V8's will rev past 7000.

My LS6 technically can spin up to 7500, it's the accessories that can't take it. I should be spinning to around 6800-7000 with my build (new valve springs, pushrods, etc...)

you have to understand why they can rev so high in the first place.
look at the displacement of those high reving motors they have a very short stroke. hence the reason they can rev so high but look at their torque numbers compared to a ls7 or ls9
you simply can not rev such a long stroke motor to 9k and have it be reliable. you can but it wont be cheap look at nascar motors. the piston speeds at such high rpms with such a long stroke is astounding.

of course i realize why they rev that high.. i wasn't trying to come off as an *******.... i was just stating that it's not uncommon to see V8's rev past 7k. not trying to argue the relationship between horsepower, torque, and rpm
